Superbly informative manual! I haven't seen any instruction manuals for commercial rocketry electronics that go into anywhere near as much detail as you have done with this.

Here's my take on it
Image
It's designed to mount horizontally in a stack of boards, so I had to put the ADXL78 on a sub-board and solder it at right angles to the main board.

Looks good.

What's with the resonator ?

??? Not sure what you mean. That's just a 20MHz resonator. Oh, are you running off the internal osc?

Yep running of the internal 16MHz oscillator and x4 PLL.

Figured accuracy may be fraction lower but is more robust and get a few more I/O.

Will still work with resonator in place I guess.

Yeah it comes up fine and the A/D data reflects changes to accel and pressure.

Mass optimisation. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Update of manual to include new functions, example connection configurations and bug fixes.

Received the terminal blocks today and finished off 20 of the 36mm boards :

That is one serious looking array processor. :) It would be interesting to see them flown in pairs to see how much the recorded data varies between the different boards.

Nice job. Looks good. I assume this will be a commercial product?

Short update on some progress :

A little bit more tweaking to go but very close.

A narrower version (24mm wide) of the FC for Andrew's micro hybrid rocket.

Placed next to PK's micro mad for size comparison :

Not much time to get it going but should manage it. Would be nice to get some data from his flight.

Seems to power up ok and do the stuff it's supposed to. I hope it fits in Andrews nose cone...
